| Middle School Academics
The Scripture says,
To whom much is given, much is required.
We believe that God has blessed our students with advantages and gifts in many areas. Each young person possesses certain scholarly and intellectual abilities. Therefore we offer a college-prepartory curriculum and a wide range of activities. Oklahoma Christian School strives to honor God through a strong academic program.
The courses are the framework on which we build our strong academic program. Our foundation is a Christ-centered, biblically-based program. OCS purpose is to affect lives for the Kingdom of God. Our passion is to be found faithful in all aspects of education.
Middle School Curriculum
Middle School at OCS begins in fifth grade and continues through the eighth grade. Teaching concepts and philosophy is intentional to meet the developmental needs of the 11-14 year old student. Daily schedules for fifth and sixth grades are on an A/B Block schedule with three core classes meeting on A Day and the other three on B Day. In addition, fifth and sixth grade students take physical education daily as well as other options including band (sixth only), vocal music (fifth only), art and technology. Fifth and sixth grade students have an opportunity to explore their curriculum further through field trips that compliment their subject matter.
